Home / Services / Company Model and Board Reporting

A model your team can run.

See where the next dollar should go, not just where it went. We build an integrated three-way model, keep it current, and produce a monthly or quarterly board pack from it, for companies that have outgrown the spreadsheet that built them.

Fees agreed in writing before work starts: a build fee by scope, then a fee per board pack.

Who it is for

Companies that need the model, the board pack and the controls an investor, lender or buyer will expect, built before they arrive.

Getting investor-ready

An integrated model that captures the operational drivers, their timing and the cash flow they produce, built to the standard an investor's own team works to, before the first investor meeting.

Founder-led businesses

The spreadsheet that got the business to its current size, rebuilt so decisions about hiring, pricing and capital can be tested before they are made.

Boards and lenders

A pack that shows the same numbers every quarter, in the same order, with the exceptions on the first page.

What you get

The model

Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow linked; drivers, timing and scenarios; a base case and a downside case. Documented, and handed over so your team runs it without us.

The board pack

Built from the model each month or quarter: results against budget, cash and debt, the drivers that moved, and the decisions the board is being asked to make.

Lender reporting

Where a facility is in place, the lender's reporting produced from the same numbers, so the board and the bank see the same figures.

“The quality of work is institutional standard, consistent with large PE-backed environments.”
Chief Financial Officer, managed IT services company

How it works

Timing depends on the scope; we agree it with you before the build starts. The pack then follows the board calendar.

  1. First

    Scope

What the board and the lender need, what the current spreadsheet does and does not do, and a fee for the build, agreed in writing.

  2. Then

    Drivers and history

The business mapped as drivers; two to three years of actuals loaded and reconciled.

  3. Build

    Model and scenarios

Integrated statements, base and downside, and the sensitivities the board will ask for.

  4. Last

    Handover and first pack

Your team trained on the model; the first board pack produced from it.
